In the late 80s, after escaping to Earth from a government testing facility on the dark side of the moon, the primate escapee designated 8627113 opened a kung fu school along the north coast of Oregon teaching long form GungFo to the local Squatch' community in exchange for Diet Pepsi and secrets of the universe. Retiring from Bigfoot instruction in 2013 he began traveling the Western United States peddling scraps of colored photo paper and graphite chicken scratches to the local terran populace under disguise of pop culture conventions to finance a rescue mission to the moon to free his captured lunar brethren.

Dear Tomas, met you at Wondercon a few months ago and bought a piece from you; Audrey Hepburn. Finally came across having it professionally framed since a black and white piece like that goes perfect with the atmosphere of my dojo. While it is rare of me to follow up on something like this, I am taking this time to personally thank you for creating this piece as I find it incredibly difficult to capture my idol, Audrey Hepburn, in an image that captures both her serenity and natural beauty. While I would be more than happy to request a commission from you, being myself an artist, I know that time is not always on our side. I hope things are going well for you and if it is possible for you to take my request eventually apart from your busy schedule. If this is possible I will forward further contact information.

Thank you,
Christian

Hi Tomas,
Ron Walsh here from the Ichido debacle.  I see you have not dropped by the KS page since January, and I was wondering if you are going to let the backers know anything.  Anything at all.

Personally, I would much rather get the book that was agreed on than the money back.  I have never asked you for a refund, and I never will.  I entered into the project with great hopes, and I still have one of your Ichido backgrounds on my computer to this day.

I know I would appreciate any communications from you, and so would all the backers who are still posting wondering if you are going to deliver, or if we should just move on.

Regards,

Ron Walsh

Hey Ron,

I am so horrible about updating the kickstarter and apologize to you and all the others for that.  Stillllll working on getting ICHIDO out and fulfilling all the obligations.

Been waiting on getting some final cover art to make a final posting and I shouldnt because it keeps taking another week and another week.  So many lessons learned from this kickstarter debacle.

Excited to get this behind me and get to working on issue 2 and beyond.

Thanks Tomas

Hi Tomas,

Your backers on Kickstarter have been attempting to contact you. Your lack of communication and follow through is quite unprofessional. I personally cannot recommend anyone purchase a single thing from you -- commissioned or pre-created. Sadly, based upon the comment threads here and elsewhere, you are not a person who does what they say they will do and you never deliver.

I believe most everyone considers ICHIDO to be a complete failure of a project and won't see the light of day. You indicated you would refund us our pledge amounts. Please begin doing so; at least exit this situation with some honor and respect.  Unless you're simply a thief, the right thing to do would be to return everyone's money due to your inability to complete the project.

Thanks.

Not sure if you noticed that it was the same guy in both previous "I never deliver" messages and that he wants me to do more commissions.  And if it isnt the kickstarter page I would be curious to know what the other comment threads are that speak of my person.

I would like you to know the circumstances to the comment message below so you do not leave this exchange with a false truth.  I was at Wondercon and the patron really liked my Tyrion drawing he also like the sherlock drawing with the split face.  He paid me at the show for a drawing of Tyrion in the sherlock style of good tyrion and bad tyrion.

We had agreed on a month deadline.  As the month deadline approached I was dealing with an enormous amount of personal problems stemming from my fathers deteriorating mental health and the roof of some property of his that had collapsed and was flooding.  I had to brace a huge beam to prevent the whole thing from collapsing while attempting to communicate this to my father who cant remember where his pants are.

I fully refunded the money to him in a paypal refund with a brief explanation as to being unable to meet the deadline.  Again in dealing with all the personal stuff I wasnt checking my emails and facebooks and deviant arts for a few days.  As a big fan of my work he just really wanted the commission.

After dealing with all the more important shit in my life I got back in touch with him about what exactly happened and know he still very much wants the commission that I will finish when the time allows and then collect any $$ only after it is finished.

Matt, I am the one that Tomas is referring to with the Tyrion commission. He is speaking the truth in regards to the refund from the Wondercon commission. I will be honest and state that he has been difficult to get a hold of via email (hence the reason for my postings below) but he has been honest throughout. During his issues with the health of his father, he has emailed me pictures of the roof situation and such, so I do not doubt his sincerity in respect to my case and the words above. His refund was prior to the commission deadline as well.

I cannot comment on what is going on with Kickstarter, as I have no idea what is going on there but I agree that he is difficult to get a hold of at times (hence I have a few posts below that inquire about the commission status).

He has truth in his comments that he has offered to receive payment only when my commission is completed. I'll will be honest and state that I would hope he would have the time sooner than later but can understand how life can get in the way sometimes. In fact, I came on to DeviantArt right now to see how it was progressing and saw this thread and felt the need to comment on it.

Tomas, I'll be honest with you as well and sincerely hope that you have had an opportunity to work on the Tyrion drawing, as it I have been waiting patiently. I see new stuff that you are producing all the time and am hoping that my piece will be one of them really, really soon. Please let me know when a reasonable timeframe for completion may be. As you noted, I truly do enjoy your work and am looking forward to the commission being completed really soon.

All, I am a person who provides several chances for things and thus am offering Tomas the opportunity to follow through. I am not sure what is going on with Kickstarter but recommend you give him the benefit of a doubt if possible, as so far, Tomas has been honest with me.

Thanks.

Sorry you feel this way Matt.

I see you contacted me on the 1st asking for a refund and I apologize that it took 6 days to get you your $10.  I have given out every refund anyone has asked me sometimes it might have taken a week but EVERYONE got there full pledge amount refunded back.

Perhaps in the future if you come across ICHIDO on a comic shelf you will give it another chance.

Thanks, my best to you
