Live, fight, die and be reborn. Live again and fight another day.
The world can be a cruel and merciless place. To survive this hostility, one must become strong in body, mind, heart and soul. One must become a being of independence, capable in all possible ways. One must become a being of discipline, calm and controlled in word, thought and action.
In order to become a being of knowledge and ability, one must become a warrior. A warrior lives the life of discipline and honor. He is not a whimpering child. He takes in what he has to and he does what he has to. To become a warrior, one must strive to become stronger without surrender, complaint, fear and doubt. One must walk down a straight path to salvation, not letting anything hinder his course.
One learns to be a true warrior by learning that power is obtained by the weight of his actions, not by the hollowness in his words.
To become a warrior, one must realize, first of all, the ultimate truth in life. One must acknowledge, not fe
Our Silent War
We are all born defenseless into this existence.
Let us not mince words for our very lives depend upon truth. We are all at war with ourselves. There is an inner struggle that plagues us all. Our very lives leave us stressed out and in misery after going through some of its many perils, and that's just for starters. In reality, we are all afraid to live, but we are also afraid to die. We live in a world of fear.
This fear stems out from a trauma we obtained when we took our first breath in this mortal plane. After being inside a womb for 9 months or less, we are suddenly pushed out to the light. Then, we cry out by instinct upon activation of our senses. Finally, the infants that we once were then realize subconsciously that we are definitely alive.
We would grow up with this initially unidentifiable confusion in our minds. As we grow into adolescence, we are then gradually exposed to the reality of it all. But by then, we'd be just pissed, but we would never really know why. With vari
One Day I Was a ToasterONE DAY I WAS A TOASTER
One day a was a toaster
As proud as proud can be
And as I traversed the purple plains,
I met a laughing tree.
'Hello, how are you today?
Please tell me a funny joke-
Let it be happy and none at all sad,'
Boomed the mighty oak.
'A wonderful story in mind,' said I
As I sat upon a root
'You will not have heard it yet,
Concerning a man, a bug and a boot.'
The tree looked jolly, as he spoke
'Well done, it sounds already funny.
Does it just surround a man, bug and boot,
Or involve stories of money and honey?"
'No, good sir, it does not
Go into further tales as such,
It is just a man, a bug and a boot
Not extending further much.'
Smiling, the oak spoke fast-
'Please begin as soon as can be,
I'll not move (if even I could)
And listen intently to thee.'
And so thus I began,
With a suspenseful pause,
As I held the giant's audience
I thought quickly of a cause.
And he bit his lip,
He itched his knee
He blinked his eyes
As he waited for me.
And so I spoke-
'The bug sat on t
All Here For A ReasonI turned onto a shady, well-manicured driveway that, for all intents and purposes, looked harmless enough. Maple trees lined both sides of the street, and a parade of Canadian geese marched across the road to a wide duck pond with a flamboyant fountain. There were blooming crepe myrtles and rose-of-sharons, and as I grew closer to my destination, neatly trimmed gardens with neatly trimmed bushes.
I stopped to let the geese pass. They looked at me; one hissed. I honked my horn and moved around them.
At the end of the road sat a collection of grayish buildings and a number of signs directing me to the appropriate parking lot. "Welcome to Ten Creeks Hospital," said one of them. "Please enjoy your stay." I parked in the visitor's lot. Surely I wouldn't be staying.
I was shaking when I got out of my car. I had spent the morning getting high. One foot in front of the other, flip-flop noises, hot sidewalk. Mulberry and magnolia trees, freshly shaved grass. A bench and pan for smokers. A set o
